Free to read

Every article we publish is open access. Articles can be read, downloaded and printed free of charge from the moment they are published, with no registration, subscription or embargo. Scholix supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative.

License

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Anyone may share and adapt the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided the authors and the original publication are credited.

You can
Copy and redistribute the article in any medium or format, translate it, mine its text and data, and build on it in new work.
You must
Credit the authors and the original publication, link to the license, and indicate any changes you made.

Attributing an article

Give the authors, article title, journal, year and DOI, followed by “Licensed under CC BY 4.0”. The citation tool on every article page formats this for you.

Authors keep the copyright to their articles. On acceptance, they grant Scholix a non-exclusive license to publish the article and to be identified as its original publisher. Copyright is never transferred.

Self-archiving and sharing

Authors may deposit any version of their article, including the published version, in institutional or subject repositories, on personal websites and on academic networks, at any time and without embargo. Please link deposited copies to the published article through its DOI.

Third-party material

Figures, tables or text reproduced from other sources are not covered by the article's license unless stated. Authors must obtain permission to republish such material under CC BY 4.0 and credit the source in the caption.

Funding open access

To keep articles free for readers, publication is funded by an article processing charge paid only after acceptance, with waivers for authors who cannot pay. Amounts for each journal are listed under publication charges.
