About the journal

The International Journal of Clinical Research and Medical Practice (IJCRMP) is the flagship journal of Scholix Publishers. It publishes clinical studies, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, case reports and short communications across internal medicine and its subspecialties, clinical epidemiology, pharmacotherapy and primary care. The journal is written for practicing physicians, clinical researchers, pharmacists and educators who need rigorous evidence that can be applied to everyday patient care, with particular attention to research from settings that are underrepresented in the international literature.

Every submission is assessed through double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers, and editors weigh methodological soundness, transparent reporting and clinical relevance above novelty alone. Authors are asked to follow the relevant reporting guideline, such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA or CARE. All articles are published open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license. Accepted papers appear online as soon as they are ready and are compiled into issues under continuous publication.

Aims and scope

IJCRMP aims to narrow the gap between clinical research and the care that patients actually receive. The journal seeks studies that answer practical questions about diagnosis, treatment, prevention and the organization of care, whether they come from multicenter cohorts, pragmatic trials, registry analyses or carefully documented single cases. It gives equal weight to well-conducted negative and confirmatory findings, encourages comparisons across health systems and populations, and favors manuscripts that state clearly what their results mean for clinicians, patients and policymakers.

Hannah Lefebvre, Arjun Mehta, Chloe Nguyen et al.

Point-of-care (POC) HbA1c testing makes results available during the consultation and may support timely treatment decisions in type 2 diabetes, but its effect on glycemic control in primary care remains uncertain. We searched MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled…

Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) is an acute, usually reversible form of left ventricular dysfunction that is often triggered by emotional or physical stress. Exogenous catecholamines and beta-adrenergic agonists are recognized but uncommon triggers, and the syndrome is easily overlooked in acute asthma…
