About the journal

The Journal of Child Health and Pediatric Care (JCHPC) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal for pediatricians, neonatologists, child health nurses, developmental specialists and researchers. It publishes original research, review articles, case reports and short communications that span the continuum of childhood, from the newborn period through adolescence. The journal welcomes both hospital-based clinical studies and community research on growth, development and well-being, and it values work that reflects the realities of pediatric care in different regions and health systems.

Manuscripts are evaluated through double-blind peer review by reviewers with clinical and methodological expertise, and editors pay particular attention to the ethical conduct of research involving children, including assent and safeguarding. All articles are published open access under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license. JCHPC uses continuous publication, releasing each article online as soon as it is ready and assigning it to the current issue, so that clinically relevant findings are available without delay.

Aims and scope

JCHPC aims to improve the health and development of children by publishing research that informs clinical decisions, service design and early intervention. The journal seeks studies that clarify the causes and natural history of pediatric conditions, evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in neonates, children and adolescents, and identify modifiable influences on growth, learning and behavior in the early years. It encourages longitudinal and family-centered research, reports of rare or atypical presentations with practical lessons, and work from regions where pediatric evidence remains limited.
